What We Do
Bright Start Pediatrics provides comprehensive primary health care, from birth through adolescence (age 18), including children with medically complex health needs.
We are child-centered, family-focused, providing care in a friendly environment, specially designed to make your visit to the doctor as comfortable as possible.
Our team of medical professionals understands that children have needs that are as diverse and unique as each child is themselves. That is why we provide a wide range of health care services to include well-child routine care, including check-ups and physicals for school, camp and sports, to the diagnosis and management of acute and chronic illnesses, such as ADHD and asthma, to the speciality are of premature babies and post-NICU care.
In addition, we provide access to consulting and referral services of pediatric sub-specialists.
Our Services
Well Visits & Immunizations
Kids are fun, but parenting can be hard. We know that babies do not come into this world with an instruction manual; toddlers can be confusing; and adolescents are often complicated. So, well child visits are the PERFECT TIME to ask any questions about your child’s health, development, nutrition or behavior. You can always bring a list – in fact, we encourage it! Our annual visits allow us to monitor your child’s physical and mental health, while also giving them safe and familiar surroundings to receive their immunizations. We follow the guidelines recommended by the CDC and the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Specialized Care
In addition to our routine well child visits, we also offer specialized services including treatment for: AD/HD, asthma, allergies and allergy shots, anxiety, depression, autism, nutrition and weight management, premature newborns, Down syndrome, twin/triplet care and many other chronic illnesses.
Sports & Camp Physicals
Everyone looks forward to the adventures of summer camp and the excitement of participating in sports! When your child needs a form completed, give us a call and let us help you out. We provide the physicals and can complete the forms quickly, so no one misses any fun!
Hospital Affiliations & Referrals
At Bright Start Pediatrics, when our patient requires any type of specialized care or treatment, we will coordinate referral services locally, and to our medical colleagues in the surrounding areas (Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Lansing, Battle Creek, Ann Arbor, etc).
